Shape Die-Cut
Shape Die-Cut is an advanced technique used on magnets to outline to the overall shape of a business logo or graphics, removing most of the background and leaving only a ¼” to a ½” to a border around the design. Shape Die-Cut should only be selected on a magnet when your design has a smooth, rounded shape, as any jagged or angular edges could cause the magnet to catch air and fly off your vehicle. If this is a concern, choose the Circle Cut option instead. A Shape Die-Cut magnet uses full-color printing, is cut to the shape of the design and is accented by a white border for higher visibility and color contrast. Note: We round the corners of magnets by default, so the Shape Die-Cut option is not necessary if all you need is rounded corners.
Reflective
When you select the Reflective option, your sign is produced using a 7 mil, white 3M vinyl film. This engineer-grade, retroreflective material is a very popular choice for car magnets and business advertising that will be seen at night. With a minimum scattering of light, your sign will reflect light back to its source, attracting attention to your message. Circle Cut
Circle Cut is a great option for magnetic signs, adding a unique shape that accentuates a business logo or graphics. When you select “Circle Cut,” most of the excess background of your magnets is cut away, leaving only a circular (or oval, depending on the aspect ratio of your design) border. Circle Cut is the ideal die-cutting method for magnets. With a standard Shape or Exact Die-Cut, jagged or angular edges could cause the magnet to catch air and fly off your vehicle. With a Circle Cut (or Oval Cut), however, the magnet’s edges will be smooth and aerodynamic while still offering an attractive shape with minimal background and more focus on your design.
