White text is a popular advertising solution because it stands out. Signazon.com recommends using white text or lettering on any store or vehicle window that is tinted, or any time it will be placed on a dark surface or background. Designing white text seems tricky, however, because how can you see it on a computer screen?
The best way to design and order white text or lettering is to select one of our predesigned
Vinyl Lettering templates. Most of these templates are set up with white letters and a grey background, which is only there so the white lettering will stand out. The gray background will not show on your final product as lettering will actually be cut away from the background.
If you are using one of our templates for something other than vinyl lettering and would like white text (such as a clear window decal), change the background color to black or grey so that the white lettering will be readable on your proof.
If you prefer to submit your own file, please always provide true
vector-based files (such as .AI, .EPS or .PDF) with a black or gray background. This will help avoid an additional charge or delay in the order process.
