Premium 3M Car Film Glossy

Made to apply on automotive painted surfaces, and improve the appearance, performance and durability of your fleet graphic. This premium 3M Polymeric vinyl film is white color, opaque with adhesive backing protected by polyethylene-coated paper liner.  It uses 3M Controltac technology to minimizes the initial contact area of the adhesive for easy sliding, tacking, snap up and repositioning, Air release channels are a characteristic of films that allow trapped air to exit through the edges of the graphic. Do not apply on Rivets. Do not firm pressure with a squeegee or other application tool until you finalized the position. When you are ready to update the graphics, this film can be removed with the aid of heat without leaving adhesive residue.

Die-Cut Truck Decal File Preparation

Design Guidelines

Have a design file ready for print? We recommend that you review the following guidelines before placing your order.
Total File Size With Bleed (H x W):
Finished Product Size (H x W):
Understanding File Setup
Bleed Area Add 0.125in.
Extend your background to fill the full "bleed area." This will make sure you do not end up with white edges when your product is cut.
Finished Project Size What you selected on this page
This is where we aim to cut your final product size.
Safe Zone Inset 0.125in.
Keep all of the important elements of your design-text, logo, icons-inside this area. It's okay for backgrounds and images to run all the way to the bleed area.
What type of files will you accept?
We recommend vector-based .PDF design files. Most major design applications can generate a print-ready .PDF by using the Save As feature and selecting “Adobe PDF.” If you are unable to obtain a .PDF file for your design, the best are those in .EPS or .AI (CS3 or higher) format with all text converted to outlines.
Recommended file types:
Vector-based .PDF, .PS, .PSD, or .EPS. Vector-based Adobe Illustrator .AI
Other accepted file types:
.PNG, .TIF, . BMP, .GIF, or .JPG

Die-Cut Truck Decal FAQs

I created a path for my cut line, but it's not working. What's wrong?

Your cut line must be a stroke, not a filled path, compound path, or shape. Our automated cutting system specifically reads strokes with the spot color "ExactCut" to generate cutting instructions. For precise control over your cut path, follow these requirements:

What TO DO:

  • Create a separate top layer named "ExactCut" containing ONLY your cut path.
  • Apply a spot color stroke named exactly "ExactCut" (case-sensitive).
  • Set stroke to 1pt with NO fill color.
  • Ensure your path is closed and represents the exact cutting line you want.
  • Remove paths or art outside the artboard to avoid issues processing your file.
  • Before uploading, double verify that you are not missing any areas that you want cut

What NOT TO DO:

 Do not use Effects(fx):

  • No offset path effects
  • No Transform or Distort effects
  • No Drop Shadows or other appearance effects If you've used any effects, expand them first(Object > Expand Appearance)

Do not use compound stokes:

  • No multiple strokes on the same path
  • No stroke alignment set to "outside" or "inside" (keep centered)
  • No stroke profiles or variable width strokes

Do not use non-standard path types:

  • No clipping masks as cut paths
  • No live paint objects
  • No pattern or gradient strokes
