35% Perforated

A perforated polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film used for long-term exterior glass window displays. Apply on the outside of storefront window to create the illusion of a full-color design. Customers outside see what appears to be an eye-catching, opaque graphic, while those inside can still see out the windows, thanks to the material’s perforations. This material works best with strong contrast / bright colors. Dark colors are not recommended, because they draw the eye through the graphic rather than focusing attention on the graphic itself.

Features—Thickness: 8 mil. 65/35 perforation pattern, meaning that 35% of the film is micro-perforated with 1.5 mm holes to achieve a see-through effect. Self-adhesive black backing adds privacy by blocking out visibility and provides shade to keep the interior cool. Life expectancy: 2 years.

Best For—The best material for large or full-coverage storefront window graphics, windows that face direct sunlight.

Perforated Vinyl Transforms Your Storefront

Perforated vinyl is the most-popular material for storefront business advertising. With the perforated window decals you can advertise your business on the entire window without disturbing visibility from inside of the store. Your customers inside of the store will be able to see outside, while the customers outside will see the colorful designs showing off your store.

One-way vinyl material is a white adhesive film that is micro-perforated with 1.5 mm holes in a 65/35 pattern, meaning that 35% of the material is removed. Light can pass through one-way vinyl without inhibiting the interior visibility -- and the sizing options are limitless. Once you have decided on the perforated vinyl, upload your own design or choose from thousands of templates that can be customized using the online design tool.

We recommend one way vinyl for full-scale window displays whether you use the "Inside Glass" option or not. Though bubbles and wrinkles are less common with perforated vinyl, a squeegee will still be included with your order.

Keep all of the important elements of your design-text, logo, icons-inside this area. It's okay for backgrounds and images to run all the way to the bleed area.

What type of files will you accept?

We recommend vector-based .PDF design files. Most major design applications can generate a print-ready .PDF by using the Save As feature and selecting “Adobe PDF.” If you are unable to obtain a .PDF file for your design, the best are those in .EPS or .AI (CS3 or higher) format with all text converted to outlines.
