Answer
Clear decals can be used on car windows as long as they are small and out of the way of the driver’s line of vision. Clear Vinyl, which is adhesive, can be used for small stickers and messages on the outside or inside of vehicle window (as long as it is not tinted). Clear Static Cling has no adhesive, so it should only be used inside the window for oil change reminders, parking passes, etc. Otherwise, we do not recommend clear decals for vehicle use as the full-coverage design can still obscure vision and may lead to a citation.
If you want to cover an entire rear window, we recommend
rear window graphics, which are produced from a perforated material called One-Way Vision. This is the ideal material for car windows as the perforations make it fully see-through from the inside.
Smaller, text-based designs can also be produced from
car window lettering.
