Install Magnetic Signs

Important to note: magnets are extremely pliable and can often bend or wrinkle during the shipping process. After removing your magnets from their package, place them on a refrigerator door for at least 24 hours to return them to their original flat shape. Do not attach them to your car doors until they become totally flat.

Before Attaching Your Flexible Magnetic Sign:

Place your magnets on a refrigerator door for at least 24 hours to flatten and re-magnetize them.
Make sure all surface paints, clear coats and waxes are cured or hardened. Clear coat cures in a minimum of 60 days, and paint is roughly 90 days.
The vehicle should be clean and dry before attaching the sign.
For maximum adherence, the magnetic material must make direct contact with a metal surface. Any body panel that is made of plastic, fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc., or covered in another material like Bondo Putty or vinyl car wraps will not work with magnetic signs.
Make sure the area to which you apply your magnet is completely-flat. Placing a magnetic sign over a curve, crease, bump, or trim piece on the body of the vehicle could create an air pocket, causing the magnet to fly off the vehicle.

Using Your Flexible Magnetic Sign:

A flexible magnetic sign is NOT going to work on any surface that exceeds 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Long-term sun exposure will result in uneven fading of the sign's surface, in large part because the underside of the sign is shielded from the rays..
High winds and turbulence -- along with other vehicles passing at a high rate of speed -- can cause the sign to blow off.

Storing Your Flexible Magnetic Sign:

When you are not using it, keep it stored a clean and dry place.
Do not store in the trunk or on the seats of your car as temperatures can easily exceed 150° F..
Store the sign flat -- and ideally this would be on a level and smooth surface.
Do not place foreign objects on top of the sign.
Do not stack two signs with the magnetic material facing each other.

Cleaning Your Flexible Magnetic Sign:

To guard against dirt buildup, you should inspect the sign daily and clean it if necessary.
At least once a week, the sign needs to be pulled off the vehicle and cleaned/inspected (twice a week if it rains).
