Custom Shape

Your sign can be in any shape you can imagine!

Try our New Custom Shape Tool in Design Studio, you can create a unique shape contour with your logo shape within minutes!

If you prefer to set up the shape line in Adobe Creative Suite, please follow our Design Guidelines, Our Design Studio will be able to display your cut lines instantly:

  • Format should be vector based PDF.
  • All cut lines should be 1pt (.0156”) strokes with the Spot Color named of “SHAPECUT”.
Reflective

Reflective option is produced an engineer-grade 3M vinyl film with 7 mil thickness. When light hits the material, it reflects, drawing attention to your sign. Great for advertising at night. The most important thing to know is that the entire white film we print on is coated with reflective elements. That means that as more ink is printed on your piece, it becomes less reflective.

Tip: Light colors typically work best. You’ll want to stay away from full-image backgrounds and lots of dark tones. White space is your friend and will ensure your final piece is as reflective as possible.

Rounded Corners

By Minimizing the Risk of  peeling corners and air gaps between the magnet and your vehicle, , they ensure a secured Strong hold onto the truck.

Safe & Convenient Storage: The smooth edges reduce the risk of injury and minimize damage if accidentally dropped, making them suitable for rigid materials like metal, clear acrylic, or 3mm PVC.

Elegant Design:  This subtle design choice enhances professionalism while maintaining aesthetic appeal.

Shape Die-Cut

Pick from 8 different Standard Shapes, say good bye to the ordinary rectangle signs!

Magnetic Sign Care
In 4 Steps

1. Clean & Confirm Metal
1. Clean & Confirm Metal
Remove existing car decals. Clean with soapy water and inspect for damage, scratches, or rust. Check surface material: Metal (Steel) works with magnets, Aluminum/Fiberglass choose reusable car decals with easy stick vinyl instead.
2. Measure Flat Area
2. Measure Flat Area
Measure only flat surfaces where magnet sits completely flat with no air pockets.  Avoid door handles, jams, emblems, recessed areas, and moldings.
3. Flatten 24 Hours
3. Flatten 24 Hours
Upon arrival, immediately bring them indoors. Don't let them stay rolled up in shipping box and sit in garage - extreme hot and cold temperatures can cause permanent damage.  Flatten & place on refrigerator door for 24 hours minimum. This critical step allows them to flatten & re-magnetize properly.
4. Weekly Unbonding & Clean
4. Weekly Unbonding & Clean
To prevent prolonged contact creating permanent bonding, Magnets need time off too!  Allow 24-hour window without magnets weekly. Remove after car washes to prevent water damage and chemical reactions. Clean magnet back side weekly - dirt accumulation creates abrasive conditions during removal.
For Car Magnet

Maximum Life of Car Door Magnets

Professional fleet managers use these four steps to maintain vehicle magnet signs on hundreds of vehicles damage-free. Master the basics.

Step 1: Clean & Confirm Metal

  • Remove Existing Decals, For proper function, custom vehicle magnets need direct contact with the truck door's metal surface. Installing over existing car door signage creates barriers that prevent secure adhesion and form air pockets. This separation compromises performance and risks permanent damage to both the magnetic material and existing car decals.
  • Clean Area Thoroughly and Inspect Condition, Cleaning the car surface ensures you carefully examine for existing paint damage, scratches, or rusting, which make areas unsuitable for magnetic signs. Use mild detergent to reveal the true condition of your vehicle surface and prepare it for your mobile billboard application.
  • Verify Metal Surface, Check if your car door is steel, aluminum, or fiberglass. Only steel surfaces work with vehicle magnets. Modern trucks and luxury vehicles often use aluminum body panels requiring our reusable car decals instead.
  • Consider Frequency, Ask yourself: "How often will I remove this custom car magnet?" Magnetic car signs require weekly maintenance, especially after car wash sessions or high speed driving in the rain. For minimal upkeep, choose our permanent car signs such as truck decals or vehicle lettering instead.

Step 2: Measure Flat Surface on Your Vehicle

Carefully measure the flat car surface where you plan to install your magnetic car signs. Proper sizing is the #1 factor for long-lasting magnet performance - wrong size is the leading cause of magnets flying away.

  • Accurate Measurement is Essential: Use a proper tape measure for precise dimensions. Take the time to do it right. Record exact measurements to ensure professional results and optimal magnet performance.
  • Measurement Guidelines: Only measure completely flat areas on the car door or vehicle surface. Your custom vehicle magnets must sit entirely flat against the metal surface with no air pockets. Avoid door handles, jams, emblems, moldings, and recessed areas that create separation.
  • Full Contact is Critical: Even small overhangs onto trim areas will cause failure.  Custom vehicle magnets require complete contact with the flat surface.  A common misunderstanding is that partial overlap is acceptable since most of the magnetic material contacts the flat surface. However, any air gap creates instability. Air infiltration through gaps leads to detachment and potential loss to your car door signage.

Configure Design for Custom Car Magnets

Once you’ve gathered all your measurements and your logo,  log on to Signazon and start your custom car magnet order.

  • Size: You can choose from a wide variety of standard sizes or enter custom dimensions to perfectly match your needs. Our custom sizing ensures a flawless fit, especially crucial for car magnet signs.
  • Shape:  Oval or round shapes to make your truck magnets stand out.

Consider these tips for an impactful car magnet for business advertising design:

  • Headline: Promote your business, product, or service. Include your company’s tagline.
  • Readability: Use contrasting colors, like a white background with dark blue or black text. Font Size: Ensure readability from a distance. As a guide, 1 inch of text is visible from 10 feet away—scale accordingly. so if you want someone to see it 30 feet away your text should be at least 3 inches tall, 40 feet should be 4 inches, and so on.
  • Simplicity: Keep the message clear. Focus on your core services, logo, website, and a prominent phone number.

Step 3: Flatten Indoor 24 Hours Before Installation

Your custom car magnets from Signazon undergo rigorous quality assurance and comprehensive strength testing to ensure high quality adhesion to metal surfaces. To maintain this performance standard, indoor temperature and keeping it flattening are 2 key factors.

  • Store Indoor 50-100 Degrees: Immediately bring custom vehicle magnets indoors upon arrival. Extreme hot and cold temperatures cause demagnetization permanent damage to ferromagnets type magnetic material. Temperature fluctuations cause expansion and contraction, potentially creating stress points in the magnet-paint interface on the metal surface. Never leave magnetic signs rolled up in shipping boxes outside or in garage. Always store magnets flat indoors.
  • 24-Hour Flatten Rule: Place car door magnets on refrigerator door for 24 hours minimum. This flattens and re-magnetizes magnetic car signs after shipping, ensuring optimal adhesion performance.
  • Installation Process: Clean the area on your vehicle where you want to install the sign with soap and water, then dry it completely. Carefully attach the magnet to the flat steel surface and remove any air pockets.

Step 4: Weekly Unbonding & Clean

To prevent prolonged contact creating permanent bonding between magnetic material and your vehicle surface, magnetic car signs require regular maintenance intervals.

  • Car Wash: Always remove magnetic signs before car wash sessions to prevent water damage and chemical entrapment. Wait until vehicle is completely dry before reapplication.
  • Post-Waxing: After waxing and polishing your vehicle, allow at least two days for complete curing before reapplying personalized car magnets.
  • Weekly Rest Period: Remove car door magnets weekly to prevent moisture and dirt buildup. Allow 24-hour window without magnets prevents chemical reactions and permanent damage to your car surface while allowing even exposure on the vehicle surface.
  • Cleaning Best Practices: Clean both the custom car magnet back side and metal surface weekly using mild detergent. Wipe with soft cloth or air-dry completely. Dirt accumulation creates abrasive conditions during removal that can damage your vehicle surface.

Why Car Magnets?

Car magnets are one of the best ways to advertise your business. Whether you are a small startup or a large company, advertising on your car is like having a fleet of mobile billboards that showcase your brand. Car decals can be attached to any vehicle at any time. Use it on your personal car, a fleet of work vehicles, and even on vehicles you don’t own. If you buy a new car or need to move the sign to a different vehicle, simply peel it off. Magnetic signs on your car are one of the most cost-effective ways to advertise your business because they travel with you. Car Magnet FAQs

Question: What are your car magnets made of?

Answer:

We use US made high-quality material that is flexible, scratch resistant, and can adhere to all types of metal vehicles. It is designed for adverse weather conditions, and can withstand rain, sleet, and UV rays.

Question: Will custom car magnets stick to my vehicle?

Answer:

Business car magnets only stick to metal surfaces. Before ordering, please check if your vehicle's body is made of metal by testing with a small fridge magnet. Many modern vehicles use Fiberglass, Aluminum, or Composite materials that won't hold magnets. For non-metal surfaces, we offer Reusable Car Decals instead.

Popular non-metal vehicles include Ford F-150, F-250, and F-350 trucks. For a complete list of compatible vehicle models, please visit our Reusable Car Decal product page.

Question: Where can you put a car magnet?

Answer:

Magnetic car signs can be placed on any flat surface of the vehicle. Avoid areas that have raised or indented spots on the car, door handles, or other obstructions. The best places are on the doors, tailgate, or the side panels of a van.

Question: Will a car door magnet ruin my paint?

Answer:

No, a car magnet will not damage the paint. In fact, car magnets provide a layer of protection for the paint underneath and prevent scratches, fading, or damage from UV rays. When you want to take it off simply peel it away.

Question: How do I know the magnet won’t fall off while I’m driving?

Answer:

We use a durable and high-quality material to make our magnetic signs. When installed correctly, these strong magnets can withstand all types of weather, wind, and other common wear and tear from driving. We also print it with rounded corners to avoid peeling corners, which is the most common reason magnets come off.

Always measure your vehicle's flat surface and customize the size to fit. Avoid placing over curved surfaces, lips, trims or rivets to stop air pockets getting between the steel vehicle surface and the magnetic car signs. Eliminate the risk of the magnet flying away.

Do not place over car wraps or existing car decals.

Question: Can I wash my car with a car magnet on?

Answer:

No, Absolutely not. Always protect your Car magnets and Reusable Car Decals by removing them before washing the vehicle, clean it with water separately, store flat, and reapply it after surface is clean and dry.

Doing so will help eliminate the possibility of the material getting scratched or damaged, moved by high pressure water, chemicals/ waxes or debris & moisture getting in between the material and the body of the vehicle's surface.

As long as you follow the instruction, your magnetic signs and easy stick vinyl will stay vibrant and works perfectly on your vehicle door for a long time.

Question: Where should the Magnet be stored?

Answer:

Storing your magnets is easy, simply place back on a refrigerator or large flat steel surface. Storing in a clean, dry environment, ideally on a leveled smooth steel surface. Not on the seats of a car or in a trunk, since it is not flat and can easily exceed 150 Degrees F. Make sure to not place objects on top of the magnet to try and flatten or stack two magnets with the magnetic material facing each other, this will cause it to demagnetize.

Question: Can Signazon help me design a custom car magnet?

Answer:

Definitely! Our friendly and helpful customer service team is here to help with whatever you need to make your custom car advertising magnets. Call us today to discuss your needs.
